This topic landscape is a framework for sharing concepts and ideas based on the Institute for Collaborative Innovation summer institute and two 12 week Cognitive Systems Engineering courses taught on intelligence analysis starting in 2005. We pursue innovative solutions to data overload problems in information analysis and comprehension tasks. Our mission is to: Innovate solutions to data overload that go beyond “tweaks” to existing tools. Advance methods for collaborative envisioning of what would be useful support for information analysis and comprehension tasks Develop interdisciplinary talent well versed in Design and Cognitive Systems Engineering methods and concepts to meet the demands of the intelligence community.
