The third class looks at how to frame the Analysis Process and how Downcollect, Conflict and Corroboration, and Hypothesis evaluation/story construction leads to actionable intelligence.

 

This is then applied to the beginning of digging into the details of what led to the military intelligence failures contributing to the Israeli surprise in the Yom Kippur war. Israeli intelligence did not just fail to recognize, but rather the path to surprise starts with their inability to revise and re-evaluate their own perspective.
